Things to remember before visiting IKEA, Bangalore

Date:

Seems like all Namma Bengaluru was waiting for was an IKEA. The very first at Nagasandra, Bangalore and also currently the biggest outlet in India. It was one of my best experiences in the city. If anyone has not visited it yet, I would strongly recommend you to visit it and share you experiences in the comment box below.

The place seems to be overcrowded over the weekends, hence try to visit during weekdays. Mentioned are takeaways from my experience:

Carry Snacks and Water
If you are going with kids, then one should carry snacks and refreshments likes beverages, biscuits, fruits, chocolates or some food if you do not prefer outside/packaged food. The mall is so huge, that once you get in, it will take a while and you would surely end up being hungry and/or tired. Though it is all worth it as the items you see there, are as unique as it gets.

Bring Your own Bag (BYOB)
Since the government banned plastic bags in the city, we are used to carrying our own bags. You can offload the purchased items to your bag in the parking. IKEA also provides bags at an additional cost.

Ample Parking Space
The parking space is free accommodating four wheelers (1500) and two wheelers (500). You can take your trolley to your vehicle in the parking space to offload your items.

Food Restaurant
Upon entering on the other side of the same floor you will notice a restaurant. The menu is great, and the food tasted good. I would strongly recommend giving the restaurant a try. One can carry the food in the food trolley and enjoy the experience.

Home Decor
IKEA has abundant options for home decorations. It has options ranging for kids to elders. The product quality seemed to be excellent. One would feel like buying everything, though completely depends on our needs and budget.

Sale/Offers Zone
Clearance Sale – get up to 50% off! There were offers for many home-decor items, electronics. One should take a stroll through the entire store to benefit from any offers lurking behind the corners. You can use the thus saved money to splurge on more items.?

Assembly Items
If you are looking to buy furniture, you will get it in dismantled form and either need to call the assembly staff from IKEA or DIY at home. You can contact the IKEA staff right after the billing or contact them online (the online process is comparatively tedious).

Note::
Kindly wear your mask while visiting the store as it is a government mandate to wear a mask at public places.
One can shop online as well by clicking here.
