Ganesha Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is a Hindu festival of God Ganesha. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated when the Maratha ruler Shivaji (c. 1630–80) used it to encourage nationalist sentiment among his subjects, who were fighting the Mughals.
Lord Ganesha is a symbol of Wisdom, Fortune, Commerce, Good prosperity and Travel. Devotees bring Ganesha Idol in their home which is made up of clay, now a days eco friendly is also available in the market for the worship. This festival is celebrated for 10 days. This festival usually celebrate every year during the month of August or September. Many Devotees who bring idol at their home keep it for 3 days or 5 days or 7 days or 10 days depending on the availability or work.

This Festival we first start with decorating the Ganesha room by making small or large pandals depending on the audience or devotees expected i.e it is celebrated widely in the public spaces as well.
